East Mendoza Region

This region is the biggest producer of wine in Mendoza. It is located at 33 degrees south latitude. The waters of the Tunuyan river bath this plain. It extends over the Junín, Rivadavia, San Martín and Santa Rosa counties. Its heights above mean sea level vary from 2,461ft in its highest areas to 2,100ft in the crossing area, and its soils are quite deep. There are over 148,300 acres planted with vine. This is a huge region where a vast variety of grapes is planted.
