Tempranillo WineOut of all of the Spanish varieties, the Tempranillo variety is the best known, due to, more than anything, the fact that it constitutes the main varieties of the La Rioja and the Ribera de Duero wines. This grape goes by different names in the various regions in which it's found, including, Tinta Fina in Ribera de Duero, Ull de llebre en Catalonia, Cencibel in La Mancha, and Tinta de Toro in Toro. These wines are moderately acidic and delicate, with longevity. They often blend well with varieties like Mazeulo, Graciano, and, as we've already mentioned, Cabernet Sauvignon. The grape Grenache is original of Aragón and it has become one of the most cultivated grapes in the world, in its varieties white, red dyer and red. It has been considered main variety of denominations of origin of the Priorato, Ampurdà, Terra Alta, Tarragona, Cariñena and La Mancha, among others. It grants a good alcoholic graduation, vigorous wines of especiados aromas.
